AAA Cards Challenge #136

Hello again and happy Sunday!  Today I am playing along in the AAA Cards Challenge which is "one image + Spring" and once again I have left it till the last minute!  I will try to be more organised next time.  I don't know about you but I find the days and weeks just go by so fast these days.
For my card I scribbled some  Zig Brush markers in three different colours of  blue onto a square stamp block and spritzed with water.  I then stamped that onto a piece of white card stock and dried it with my heat gun.  I stamped the flower from Uniko "You are, yes you" stamp set in black ink and the sentiment from the same Uniko set.

Thanks for visiting and I'll see you again soon!

CAS-ual Fridays Release Day 7 - Tin Roof Cover Fri-Die

Hello and welcome back for day 7 of the CAS-ual Fridays Spring release. It's been a big week and for our final day we are showcasing the "Tin Roof" Cover Fri-Die.

I die cut the Tin Roof from white card stock and adhered it with my spray adhesive onto a water colour splattered background piece.  I like to use the spray adhesive for these dies because it is quick and easy but if you don't have any, you can just as easy use a liquid glue or some foam tape for that matter!  I just like to take the easy way out when I can!  I've used the "hello" from the "Sweet Friend" Fri-dies and the sentiment is from "Bushy Tailed" stamp set.

Thanks so much for visiting and remember to pop over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog to see all the inspiration from the other DT members as well as a chance to win some prizes!

CAS-ual Fridays Release Day 4 - Trellis Cover Fri-Die

Hello and welcome to day 4 of CAS-ual Fridays Spring release.
Today we are showcasing the Trellis Cover Fri-Die.
I went straight to my pre-made alcohol ink background pieces for this one!  This card was so quick to make, I sprayed the die cut with adhesive and stuck it straight onto a white card base.
The sentiment is from the "Heartfelt Sayings" and I stamped it with CP Midnight ink onto a scrap piece of card stock then adhered it with dimensional tape straight over the top of my Trellis die cut.

Hello and welcome to day 3 of the CAS-ual Fridays Spring Release.  Today we are showcasing the "Sweet Friend" Fri-dies! This set includes 3 words, Hello, Sweet and friend.  You may have noticed yesterday I used the "hello" from this new set.
I have used the "Sweet friend" for my card today and I adhered it directly onto my card panel which I have stenciled with the new  "Modern Petals" stencil.  I die cut some of the "4 Petals" Fri-dies and sponged them with the same coloured ink as my stenciling.

CAS-ual Fridays Release Day 2 - Stencils

Hello, I'm back for day 2 of the CAS-ual Fridays Spring Release. Today we are introducing 5 stencils!
I have used two on my cards today so make sure you head on over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog to see the rest, you will love them!

For my first card I masked off the "Modern Petals" stencil with some painters tape and sponged ink along the left hand side of my card panel.  I added a flower from Pretty Posies and stamped my sentiment with the same colour ink as my stenciling.

No photo description available.

For my second card I used the "Bold Trellis" stencil but I turned it on an angle.  I sponged three different colours of ink then removed the stencil and sponged lightly over the card panel to take away the stark white. I splattered some water for some added interest and adhered a "hello" die cut word from the "Sweet Friend" Fri-Dies.

CAS Stencil Challenge

Hello, I'm back with a card I made for the CAS Stencil Challenge.  I think I just snuck in by the hair of my chinny chin chin!  I've been meaning to enter all month and finally had the chance to today.

This month is a Ghosting technique.  I masked off a strip at the bottom of my card panel and sponged CP inks in Juniper Mist and Suede Shoes.  Then I placed the Perfect Vine stencil (also from CP Designs) over the sponged area and wiped a baby wipe over the top.  I stamped the butterfly from Happy Little Stampers and coloured it in with CP inks and a blender pen.  The sentiment is from the same set from Happy Little Stampers.

Thanks for looking and you can click HERE to take you over to the CAS Stencil Challenge to see all the beautiful cards using this technique.

CAS-ual Fridays Release Day 1 - Huggable Critters

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today is the first day of CAS-ual Fridays Spring release and we are kicking off with this adorable Huggable Critters Die set!  There are so many possibilities with this die set and you have to pop over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog to see all the amazing projects from the Design Team!  I can't wait to CASE some of those cute projects!
I started off by making an Easter Gift card holder and turned it into a card.  I stamped a "Happy Easter" greeting on the inside of my card and attached a Myer gift card in between the feet and paws of the bunny.  This took no time at all to put together.  The Die set comes with a little stamp set you can use for the eyes, mouth and paws if you want but these are also included as dies so its up to you how you put your little critters together.
I coloured the ears with a Copic marker, stamped the eyes, nose, mouth, paws and cheeks and sponged around the edges with ink to make them stand out.  I cut another main body out and scored about 1/2" from the top then adhered it to make a stand up card.

Our challenge this week over at Watercooler Wednesday is a Masculine Anything Goes challenge with Karen as our host.

Image may contain: one or more people and text

For my card today I used a Darkroom Door photo stamp called Surfboards.  I stamped onto some glossy photo paper with  CP midnight ink and then coloured just one of the surfboards with a red copic marker.  This will make the perfect birthday card for my hubby or one of my sons.

Do what makes your guts grin!

Hello, I am over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today with this fun card  using the "Sassy Smiles" stamp set.  I love the sassy sayings in this set, they make me LOL. Who doesn't want their guts to grin!
Firstly I stamped the "Smile" in Versafine Black ink and while it was still wet I sprinkled some clear glitter embossing powder over it and heated it with my heat gun.  Then I stamped the rest of the sentiment underneath.  There are so many fun sayings to stamp with this "Smile"! What about, "You're my best friend and there's nothing you can do about it". Haha!
I wanted some pretty flowers to go with this one so I pulled out the Peaceful Garden and Peace and Comfort stamp sets and used the flowers and leaves in those two sets.  No colouring on this card, just stamping so nice and simple.
I am entering this into The Flower Challenge #30 which is "anything goes" this month.

And here's a close up of the sparkly "Smile".

Image may contain: text

Hello and welcome to my blog on this lovely Wednesday!  I'm excited to announce I am on the DT for the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and my first challenge is #212 - Tristan's "All About Occasions".  Tristan is a very good friend of mine so what a great way to start off my DT role with Tristan as the hostess!
I made a "best wishes" card which could be used for any occasion but I will most likely use it for a birthday card.

I stamped the floral image from Catherine Pooler Designs "Grateful Heart" stamp set and coloured it in with Copics and Prisma pencils.  The sentiment is from the CP Designs "Cottage Corsage" stamp set.   I mounted my card panel onto some pink card stock and adhered that to my card base with dimensional tape.

No Line Colouring with Prisma Pencils

Hello I'm up on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today with a card I made using the No Line Coloring technique and Prisma colored pencils.

I spent last week away from home and I had a card to make with limited supplies!  I took a few of my favorite CAS-Fridays stamp sets, my Prisma colored pencils and a few ink pads with me.
My card is a one layer card due to the fact that I also did not have a die cutting machine or any adhesive with me, so nice and simple today which is how I like it!

You can click HERE to take you over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog to see how I made this card.

Less is More Challenge #390

Hello and happy Saturday!
It's time for a new challenge at Less is More and this fortnight our theme is Horoscopes! This can be either: star signs, horoscope animals like fish, lion, bull, crab, scorpion, horoscope constellations or any other link with horoscopes that you can think of.  Visible Image are our very generous sponsor this month. Click HEREVisible Imageto go check them out!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Jayne Tyrrell with this beautiful card using a Visible Image stamp set. Click HERE to take you over to the Less is More challenge for a ton more inspiration from our Design Team.
For my card, I used the stars from the gorgeous Born to Perform stamp set.  I can't wait to use that pretty ballerina on a card!  I sponged CP Inks in Suede Shoes and Royal Treatment onto a piece of Bristol card stock.  I stamped the stars in versamark ink and white heat embossed them.  I added some little specks using a white gel pen and some glitter then die cut using a circle die.  I adhered my circle panel onto a top folding card base and stamped the sentiment from a Clearly Besotted stamp set.  I must admit, I did struggle at first to think of something relating to Horoscopes but then I saw those dotted stars and thought they were perfect!

We would love you to join us!  All you have to do is make a CAS card using the theme of Horoscopes and link it up to our challenge HERE.  Don't forget we like to see lots of white space on your card.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.
