Hooray let’s Celebrate with CAS-ual Fridays

Hello, I’m over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today with a couple of cards I made using the "Sassy Celebration" stamp set and the "Hooray" Dies.

For my first card I started by ink blending some Catherine Pooler Inks onto some white card stock.  Then I stenciled over the top with the same color of ink using the "Modern Petals" stencil.
I die cut the Hooray three times and adhered them all together.  The top layer is embossed with glitter embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment in black and adhered the die cut on top, offsetting it slightly so it looks like a shadow.  I added some 4 petals die cuts, matted the panel onto some black card stock and adhered it to a top folding card with foam tape.

For my next card I sponged some Catherine Pooler inks onto a piece of white card stock then placed the "Bold Trellis" stencil over the top and wiped it with a wet baby wipe to take some of the ink away.  I love the look this gives.

I hope you like my cards and I have inspired you to get crafty!

A Card in a Box with CAS-ual Fridays

Hello, I'm over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today with a fun box card filled with Pretty Posies flowers.

I have made the square box cards before but this is the first rectangle one I have made.  It just gives you that little bit more room to play with.  They are pretty quick and easy to make and there are plenty of tutorials on you tube on how to make the box.  This one was made from one piece of 8 1/2" x 11" card stock.  I added some patterned paper that I have been hoarding and matched the colors with Catherine Pooler inks for the flowers and leaves.

You can find more details on the CAS-ual Fridays blog if you're interested.

I am entering the following challenges:

I hope you like my box of flowers and I have inspired you to make one.

CASE me a Christmas Card with Michelle Lupton

Hello, today I'm so happy to be joining my friend Michelle Lupton in her CASE me a Christmas card series.   She's changed things up a little bit this year and asked us to CASE a card of hers and make it into a Christmas card.  Michelle makes the most beautiful cards and is the Alcohol Ink Queen so I thought I would try my hand at recreating one of her masterpieces!

Here's Michelle's card that I've CASED.

You can click HERE to take you over to Michelle's blog to see her CASE of my card.

And here's my card.  I wanted to use "Michelle Blue" (yes that' a thing) .  I think this piece was my fifth attempt at getting the alcohol inks to behave in the manor that I wanted them to!  I added the "JOY" die cut with some foam tape and white heat embossed the sentiment onto some black card stock.

Thanks for looking!

Sunday Challenges

Hello, I'm back again playing along with a few challenges.

I am trying to get my Christmas cards done in time to send out this year so I decided to play along with the CAS Christmas Card Challenge which is "Christmas Birds".

I've used a digi stamp from Lili of the Valley and coloured it in with alcohol markers and Prima pencils.

My next card is for the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge.  My friend Tristan from Tinstar Designs is Guest Designer this month so I thought I'd check it out.

I stamped the Penguin from MFT and coloured her in using a blender pen and the above ink colours.  I have Stampin Up's Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry but not the Flirty Flamingo so I substituted that with Catherine Pooler Pink Champagne ink.

Thanks for visiting and I'll be back tomorrow!
