The Flower Challenge #29

Hello and happy Friday!  Is it really Friday again already!!  I received a new stamp set in the mail today and I immediately thought of the current challenge over at the Flower Challenge which is "Use your latest stamps or dies".  I've used the Cottage Corsage stamp set from Catherine Pooler Designs.  I white heat embossed the main image onto a piece of Bristol card stock and coloured it in with Zig markers and Prisma pencils. I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die and mounted onto a pink card base.  I'm stepping out of my comfort zone as I usually only use a white card base.  I think I'll make another on a white card base.

A big shout out to Neha from Auzz Trinklets N Crafts right here in Australia for her speedy service and free postage.  I have another order coming directly from Catherine Pooler but still waiting for that one LOL.
It's great having an Australian stockist of CP's products.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.

Serendipi-tea with Zig Markers

Hello and happy Tuesday.!  I'm up on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today with a few cards I made using the cute Serendipi-tea stamp set. Click HERE to take you over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog for all the details.

I am entering the pink card into the CAS Mix Up Card Challenge.  I have used heat embossing on the die cuts for the dimension, watercoloring with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and stamping.

Here's another one I made in teal using a different sentiment from the same Serendipi-tea stamp set.

CAS-ual Fridays Mon Ami and coloured pencils.

Hello and happy Tuesday! I am over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today with two cards using the beautiful Mon Ami stamp set and Fri-Dies.
I love to colour and the floral images from the Mon Ami set are so quick and easy to colour in.  I have used my Prisma pencils today and blended them with some
blending solution (Gamsol).  Of course you don't need to use any blending solution with the pencils but I find that sometimes they need a bit of fine tuning depending on the type of card stock you are using.  I stamped and coloured heaps of flowers and die cut them all out so I now have some on hand when I need a quick card!

I've kept my first card very CAS by popping the centre  flower up with foam squares and then adhering the two blue flowers either side and stamping the sentiment underneath.   I love this sentiment, it makes for a beautiful thank you card!

For my next card, I stepped it up a bit and used lots of dimension by adding a card panel to my card base.  The centre flower is again popped up with dimensional squares.  I stamped the sentiment as my stem and hand drew the stems for the other two flowers.  The leaves are cut out and adhered although in hind sight I could have just stamped them directly onto my card panel.  This was still a pretty quick card to make.

You have probably noticed that I like clean and simple but you could definitely jazz these up by adding some patterned paper to them.  I love black and white and I thing some black and white striped paper would look stunning added to these cards.  There are lots of possibilities!

Here's a link to the stamp sets I have used.

For my first card I stamped the flowers from Uniko Beautiful Blooms 11 stamp set with CP Ink Suede Shoes and added some shading with Prisma coloured pencils.  The leaves from the same stamp set are stamped with CP Limoncello Ink. The sentiment is from the Uniko Flower Power 3 stamp set.

My second card today uses the Natures Treasures 11 stamp set from Uniko.  This time I changed the colours and stamped with CP Inks Juniper Mist and Tiara.  These shades of blue and yellow aren't as bright as the other two.

Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop

Hello Blogging Friends!!

Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born with only one X chromosome, instead of two, leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. This condition occurs one in 2,500 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term. That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!

Nineteen caring Sponsors and eleven DT Members have partnered with us to bring Turner Syndrome Awareness to the Public. For details on how you might win any of these fabulous prizes, please see Lori's TS home page. Thanks for learning About Turner Syndrome

My TS related project uses a few colors from the TS official color board:

I chose to use the beautiful "Tutu" Stamp set from one of our generous sponsors CAS-ual Fridays for my card.

I stamped her out with Suede Shoes CP Ink and coloured her in with Prisma pencils.
