CAS-ual Fridays Flowery Duo

 Hello, I'm over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today sharing a card I made using a leftover alcohol ink piece.

I love playing with my Alcohol Inks but I just can't seem to get the hang of it! I always end up overdoing it and I need to learn not to overwork it.    Anyway I have fun playing and I'm left with heaps of  pieces to die cut.

I white heat embossed the Flowery Duo stamp set and die cut it using the matching die that comes with the set.  I adhered it to a white card panel using some foam tape and stamped the sentiment from Shenanigans stamp set.  I splattered some gold shimmery paint over my card panel and adhered it to a top folding card base.

CAS-ual Fridays - Masculine Birthday card

Hello, I'm over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today with a quick masculine birthday card.

I have a lot of males in my family and I'm not too keen on making masculine cards!

I was running out of cards for men in my stash so I pulled out the faithful "Shenanigans" stamp set along with my Catherine Pooler inks.

I stamped the birthday sentiment five times using different shades of blue/green ink and added the "happy" with some foam tape. I used the MISTI and moved my card panel up an inch each time.

Clean and Simple with CAS-ual Fridays

 Hello everyone, I'm over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today sharing a  CAS Birthday card.

It's no secret I like making Clean and Simple cards, mostly because they are relatively quick to make but also because they are pleasing to my eye.

I started by stamping the sentiment from Shenanigans with some Versafine Black ink.  Then I stamped one of the flowers from the Mon Ami set and colored it in with Copics.  I die cut it using the 

Mon Ami Fleur Dies and popped it up with some foam tape.  I added some dots to the petals with a white gel pen.

My most used CAS-ual Fridays sentiment stamp set!

 Hello, I'm over on the CAS-ual Fridays  blog today sharing a birthday card using my most used sentiment stamp set!

Do you have a favorite sentiment set that you use again and again?  The Shenanigans set is one of the first CAS-ual Fridays stamp sets that I ever purchased and I find myself reaching for it all the time.  

I started by stamping the “birthday” sentiment 5 times with versamark ink.  I heat embossed it with WOW fine white embossing powder and got to it with Catherine Pooler inks and a blending brush.

I stamped the “happy” with black ink and popped it up with some foam tape.  I think this would also be fun using a rainbow of colors!

CAS-ual Fridays Celebration

Hello everyone and welcome to my last post for 2021!

We are celebrating over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog by sharing some celebratory cards to inspire you.

We are also sharing our favorite project of the year.

I've made a celebration card using the Celebrate sentiment from Shenanigans stamp set along with the Jacks stencil.

My favorite project for this year was a hard decision but I settled on this one using the Flowery Background stamp along with the Sweet Friend Die.

Celebrating CAS-ual Fridays 9th Birthday

I started with the Chunky Chevron stencil and blended  some Catherine Pooler inks.  Then I stamped the sentiments from Shenanigans stamp set with Versafine Black Ink and added some sparkly embossing powder.  Lastly I added a few flowers using the 4 Petals dies.

Hello, I'm over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today sharing this bright colourful birthday card.

Shenanigans is one of my favorite sentiment stamp sets that I find myself reaching for all the time!

Today I have paired it up with some bright ink blending and the Bubbly stencil.

I started by stamping the sentiments with versamark ink and heat embossed with WOW super fine white embossing powder.  Next I ink blended three colors over the embossed sentiments, then I placed the Bubbly stencil over the top and blended the same ink colors.  I splattered some water for some added interest!  I die cut the panel slightly smaller than my card base and adhered using some foam tape.  I added some 4 petals die cuts cause I just love those little petals!  I added some clear sequins in the middle of the petals.

I hope you like my colorful birthday card and I have inspired you to do some ink blending and stenciling.

CAS-ual Fridays and Catherine Pooler Blog Hop

 

Hello and welcome to the  CAS-ual Fridays and Catherine Pooler Designs collaboration Blog Hop!

You should have arrived here from the lovely Susan Powell.

I have two cards to share today using the Catherine Pooler Carnivale Inks and CAS-ual Fridays stencils, stamps and Fri-Dies.  I've also used a CP stamp set. 

For my first card I stamped the big sentiment from "Happy Birthday"  using versamark ink and white heat embossed with WOW embossing powder.  I ink blended the panel using Suede Shoes,  All That Jazz, Grape Crush and Mardi Gras and added some of the 4 Petal Fri-Dies. 

For my next card I did some more ink blending as well as some stenciling.  I started by ink blending my card panel with Be Mine, Coral Cabana and Samba ink then I placed the "Jacks Stencil" over the top and went over using the same colour inks.

I stamped the sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays "Shenanigans" and the pup from Catherine Poolers "Peeking Pups".

Making balloon stencils with CAS-ual Fridays dies.

Hello, I'm over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today sharing a few cards I made with a hand made stencil.

 I started by making my balloon stencils using some clear acetate and the Ornament Tag Fri-Dies.  

 There are two sizes of circles in this die set which was perfect for the cards I had in mind.  After die cutting the circles I cut a little triangle piece out on the bottom of the balloon using scissors. You could also use card stock or copy paper if you don't have any acetate.    I sponged some ink,  left my stencil in place and laid the Jacks Stencil directly over the top and sponged a darker shade of ink over that.    I stamped the sentiments from Shenanigans in black ink directly over the top of my balloons.
