AAA Cards Challenge #191

Hello and happy Sunday!

It's time for a new challenge over at AAA Cards and this time we would like to see no layers on your card with the optional twist of using hexagons.

Our guest designer is one of our regulars  - Sue Symens with a beautiful card.

I have chosen to go with the option today and used an old stamp set from Catherine Pooler.  This card took less than 5 minutes to make, the hardest part was finding a stamp set that had hexagons in it!

Thanks for visiting and we would love to see you join in on the challenge.

All you have to do is make a no layer card and link it up HERE

Less is More Challenge # 444 - Your Favourite Technique

Hello and happy Saturday!

There's a new challenge over at Less is More and this time we want to see a card using your favourite technique.

One of my favourite techniques is to ink blend using a stencil.  There are so many beautiful stencils on the market and they make for a quick card.

For my card today I have used the Pure Florals Gerbera stencil from Uniko along with my favourite Catherine Pooler inks.

We would love you to join in on our challenge by making a card using your favourite technique.  Click here to take you over to the blog and check out all the inspiration from the other DT members.

CAS-ual Fridays Flowery Background Stamp with Karin Pro Markers

Hello, I'm over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today with a card I made using the new Flowery Background stamp.

How beautiful is this stamp!!

I white heat embossed the image on some watercolor card stock and pulled out my Karin Pro Markers.
I used four different color blues and scribbled them all over then took to it with a water brush and blended the color out.  Then I added some more color directly from the marker to the centers while it was still wet.  I trimmed the panel down slightly using a rectangle die and adhered it to a top folding card base with some dimensional foam tape.  I die cut 3 "hello's" from white card stock and adhered them together using liquid glue.
This card could be used for any occasion so I thought it was perfect for the latest challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday - Cathy's All About Occasions

A tropical Margarita with CAS-ual Fridays.

Hello, I'm over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today with this fun Margarita card.

The "Salty" stamp set and the "Margarita Glass Die" is so much fun to use and is perfect for any occasion in my opinion!  I decided to add a little tropical feel to my card by adding some flowers along  the rim of the glass.  I used the "4 Petals" dies and sponged some yellow ink along the edge to make them look like a frangipani.

I started by die cutting the margarita glass and then placed it in my MISTI to stamp it.  You could also stamp it first and then die cut.

Next I sponged some Catherine Pooler inks and used the Bubbly Stencil over the top using the same ink colors.

Then I die cut some flowers using the 4 Petals die and ink blended some of the yellow ink around the edges and added them to the rim of the margarita glass.

I added some gold glitter pen in the middle of the petals and adhered the glass to my card panel with dimensional foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment, fussy it cut it out and added it over the stem of the glass.

CAS-ual Fridays - Hello Gorgeous!

Hello and welcome  to my blog.  I'm over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today sharing these two cards I made using some of the new release stamp sets.  I love the Flower Duo set, I think this is my new fave floral stamp!!

For my first card I stamped the sentiment from the "Hello" stamp set with some black ink.  I white heat embossed the flower,  water colored it using some CP inks and die cut it.   I stamped some of the flowers and leaves from the "Flower Duo" stamp set in grey ink and then added my die cut flower with some foam tape.

I am also entering this card into the current challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday which is Marsha's All Things Feminine.
The challenge over at The Flower Challenge this month is to use your favourite  flower so I’ll be entering over there too!

I made the second card a few weeks ago and shared it on my Instagram account.
I white heat embossed the flowers and leaves and colored them in with my Zig Real Brush Markers.
After die cutting, I adhered them over an ink blended card panel with some foam tape and liquid glue.

I hope you like my cards and I have inspired you to make some pretty floral cards.
