CAS-ual Fridays Release Day 1 - Huggable Critters

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today is the first day of CAS-ual Fridays Spring release and we are kicking off with this adorable Huggable Critters Die set!  There are so many possibilities with this die set and you have to pop over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog to see all the amazing projects from the Design Team!  I can't wait to CASE some of those cute projects!
I started off by making an Easter Gift card holder and turned it into a card.  I stamped a "Happy Easter" greeting on the inside of my card and attached a Myer gift card in between the feet and paws of the bunny.  This took no time at all to put together.  The Die set comes with a little stamp set you can use for the eyes, mouth and paws if you want but these are also included as dies so its up to you how you put your little critters together.
I coloured the ears with a Copic marker, stamped the eyes, nose, mouth, paws and cheeks and sponged around the edges with ink to make them stand out.  I cut another main body out and scored about 1/2" from the top then adhered it to make a stand up card.

WWC213 - Karen's Masculine “Anything Goes” Challenge

Our challenge this week over at Watercooler Wednesday is a Masculine Anything Goes challenge with Karen as our host.

Image may contain: one or more people and text

For my card today I used a Darkroom Door photo stamp called Surfboards.  I stamped onto some glossy photo paper with  CP midnight ink and then coloured just one of the surfboards with a red copic marker.  This will make the perfect birthday card for my hubby or one of my sons.

Come join in the fun and make a masculine card for any occasion. Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created then, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Tuesday, 26th March at 10:00am Melbourne Time or Monday 25th 5pm US Mountain Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Do what makes your guts grin!

Hello, I am over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today with this fun card  using the "Sassy Smiles" stamp set.  I love the sassy sayings in this set, they make me LOL. Who doesn't want their guts to grin!
Firstly I stamped the "Smile" in Versafine Black ink and while it was still wet I sprinkled some clear glitter embossing powder over it and heated it with my heat gun.  Then I stamped the rest of the sentiment underneath.  There are so many fun sayings to stamp with this "Smile"! What about, "You're my best friend and there's nothing you can do about it". Haha!
I wanted some pretty flowers to go with this one so I pulled out the Peaceful Garden and Peace and Comfort stamp sets and used the flowers and leaves in those two sets.  No colouring on this card, just stamping so nice and simple.
I am entering this into The Flower Challenge #30 which is "anything goes" this month.

And here's a close up of the sparkly "Smile".

Less is More #391 Take 3

Hello and happy Saturday!  We have a new challenge over at Less is More and this time we would like you to "Take Three".  You can take 3 words, 3 images, 3 colours or whatever else you can think of.  As long as you keep your project CAS and have 3 of something!
Our sponsor again this challenge is the very generous Visible Image.  Make sure you pop over to their shop to see all the beautiful stamps and stencils they have.

We have a guest designer again and this time it is our January winner, Joanne James from The Crafty Owl.

Now on to my cards.  For my first card I have used the gorgeous "Born to Perform" stamp set from Visible Image and I have used three colours.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

For my second card, I stamped the flowers from CAS-ual Fridays "Mon Ami" stamp set, coloured them in with my Prisma pencils and die cut them using the co-ordinating Fri-dies.  The sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays "Peaceful Garden" stamp set.

We would love you to join us!  All you have to do is make a CAS card using three of something and link it up to our challenge HERE.  Don't forget we like to see lots of white space on your card.

WWC212 - "Tristan's All About Occasions" Challenge

Image may contain: text

Hello and welcome to my blog on this lovely Wednesday!  I'm excited to announce I am on the DT for the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and my first challenge is #212 - Tristan's "All About Occasions".  Tristan is a very good friend of mine so what a great way to start off my DT role with Tristan as the hostess!
I made a "best wishes" card which could be used for any occasion but I will most likely use it for a birthday card.

I stamped the floral image from Catherine Pooler Designs "Grateful Heart" stamp set and coloured it in with Copics and Prisma pencils.  The sentiment is from the CP Designs "Cottage Corsage" stamp set.   I mounted my card panel onto some pink card stock and adhered that to my card base with dimensional tape.

Come join in the fun and make a card for any occasion. Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created then, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Tuesday, 19th March at 10:00am Melbourne Time or Monday 18th 5pm US Mountain Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

No Line Colouring with Prisma Pencils

Hello I'm up on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today with a card I made using the No Line Coloring technique and Prisma colored pencils.

I spent last week away from home and I had a card to make with limited supplies!  I took a few of my favorite CAS-Fridays stamp sets, my Prisma colored pencils and a few ink pads with me.
My card is a one layer card due to the fact that I also did not have a die cutting machine or any adhesive with me, so nice and simple today which is how I like it!

You can click HERE to take you over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog to see how I made this card.

Less is More Challenge #390

Hello and happy Saturday!
It's time for a new challenge at Less is More and this fortnight our theme is Horoscopes! This can be either: star signs, horoscope animals like fish, lion, bull, crab, scorpion, horoscope constellations or any other link with horoscopes that you can think of.  Visible Image are our very generous sponsor this month. Click HEREVisible Imageto go check them out!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Jayne Tyrrell with this beautiful card using a Visible Image stamp set. Click HERE to take you over to the Less is More challenge for a ton more inspiration from our Design Team.
For my card, I used the stars from the gorgeous Born to Perform stamp set.  I can't wait to use that pretty ballerina on a card!  I sponged CP Inks in Suede Shoes and Royal Treatment onto a piece of Bristol card stock.  I stamped the stars in versamark ink and white heat embossed them.  I added some little specks using a white gel pen and some glitter then die cut using a circle die.  I adhered my circle panel onto a top folding card base and stamped the sentiment from a Clearly Besotted stamp set.  I must admit, I did struggle at first to think of something relating to Horoscopes but then I saw those dotted stars and thought they were perfect!

We would love you to join us!  All you have to do is make a CAS card using the theme of Horoscopes and link it up to our challenge HERE.  Don't forget we like to see lots of white space on your card.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.
