WC235 - Marsha's Masculine "Anything Goes" Challenge

Hello, it's time for a new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday!
This week Marsha is our host with a Masculine "Anything Goes" Challenge.

I'm not very good at creating masculine cards so I find you can't go wrong with balloons!  I've used one of my new stamp sets from Uniko called "Balloon Bash" and stamped it using Catherine Pooler inks. The sentiment is from my all time favourite sentiment set from CAS-ual Fridays called "Shenanigans".

WWC227 - Michelle's "All About Occasions" Challenge

Hello and happy Wednesday!
It's time for a new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday and this week yours truly is the host with an "All About Occasions" challenge.

For my card I've used the Catherine Pooler "Fluttering Friends" stamp set and coloured that cute bird in with my Prisma pencils.  I die cut all the images with my Scan n cut.  The happy birthday sentiment is from the same CP set.

WWC226 - Dawn's "Masculine" Anything Goes

It's that time of the week again!  Time for a new challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday where Dawn is our host for a Masculine "Anything Goes".

For my card I've used a Close to my Heart stamp set called "Happy Everything" and coloured the balloons in with Prisma pencils.  I stamped three balloons directly onto my card panel and then popped two up with dimensional tape.

AAA Birthday Challenge

Hello and happy Friday!  My card today is for the newest challenge out there in blog land (to my knowledge) and that is the

Birthday cards are mostly the cards I make so this challenge is right up my alley!

The first challenge is Anything Goes, how easy is that!

I started by die cutting some presents from Sugar Pea Designs that were in the Bring on the Cake Stamp of Approval by Catherine Pooler. I coloured them in with alcohol markers and popped them onto some fun foam for dimension.  I coloured the bows in with a gold paint marker.  The sentiment is from Picture Perfect Birthday from Stampin Up.

Thanks for looking and I'll be back tomorrow.

No Line Colouring with Prisma Pencils

Hello I'm up on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today with a card I made using the No Line Coloring technique and Prisma colored pencils.

I spent last week away from home and I had a card to make with limited supplies!  I took a few of my favorite CAS-Fridays stamp sets, my Prisma colored pencils and a few ink pads with me.
My card is a one layer card due to the fact that I also did not have a die cutting machine or any adhesive with me, so nice and simple today which is how I like it!

You can click HERE to take you over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog to see how I made this card.

CAS-ual Fridays Mon Ami and coloured pencils.

Hello and happy Tuesday! I am over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today with two cards using the beautiful Mon Ami stamp set and Fri-Dies.
I love to colour and the floral images from the Mon Ami set are so quick and easy to colour in.  I have used my Prisma pencils today and blended them with some
blending solution (Gamsol).  Of course you don't need to use any blending solution with the pencils but I find that sometimes they need a bit of fine tuning depending on the type of card stock you are using.  I stamped and coloured heaps of flowers and die cut them all out so I now have some on hand when I need a quick card!

I've kept my first card very CAS by popping the centre  flower up with foam squares and then adhering the two blue flowers either side and stamping the sentiment underneath.   I love this sentiment, it makes for a beautiful thank you card!

For my next card, I stepped it up a bit and used lots of dimension by adding a card panel to my card base.  The centre flower is again popped up with dimensional squares.  I stamped the sentiment as my stem and hand drew the stems for the other two flowers.  The leaves are cut out and adhered although in hind sight I could have just stamped them directly onto my card panel.  This was still a pretty quick card to make.

You have probably noticed that I like clean and simple but you could definitely jazz these up by adding some patterned paper to them.  I love black and white and I thing some black and white striped paper would look stunning added to these cards.  There are lots of possibilities!

Here's a link to the stamp sets I have used.

CAS-ual Fridays Full on Floral and Ink Blending

Hello and happy Wednesday!  I'm over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog today.   I stamped the gorgeous Full on Floral back ground stamp with versamark ink and white heat embossed it onto a piece of white card stock.  Then I took my trusty CP inks and blended three different colours using a blending tool.  I could have left it there because it was pretty enough, but I decided to colour a few of the flowers in using my new set of 150 Prisma pencils that Santa brought me!  And I just couldn't stop there so I went over the whole image with a shimmer pen.  I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Heartfelt Sayings in black ink onto a strip of white card stock and adhered it onto my card front with dimensional tape.

The Flower Challenge #28

Hello and happy Wednesday!  This month is flying by so quickly and I almost ran out of time to enter the Flower Challenge!  The challenge this month is to use Pink and Grey!  My favourite combination for a floral card!  It is my friends birthday today so I made her a pretty pink and grey card.
I used the Happy Succulents stamp set from Uniko and stamped it in Twilight (grey) ink from Catherine Pooler and coloured it in with my Prisma coloured pencils.  I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Black Jack (dark grey)  CP Ink.

I am also entering this card into the Uniko Challenge#51 which is anything goes with an optional twist of Love.  You could say that this card is made with love for a dear friend, does that count!
You can click HERE to take you over to the Uniko Challenge.
